Last October I mentioned getting a green house, which I never posted about. So here are some pictures of it going up and in use.

The greenhouse arrived in two boxes. The long box contained the framing pieces and the rectangle box contained the window pieces and other items.

I am rather happy with this greenhouse though I must mention it’s not the best construction. The frame is sturdy, but the way the windows are kept in the frame doesn’t work well. They are held in place with plastic strips that don’t hold tightly so from time to time some of the window panels will blow out. I had to resort to sealing a few of them in with silicone. However, for the price and the space I have available it does the job.
During the winter I packed it full of plants from the front porch instead of bringing them inside the house. The plants loved it and a few actually continued to grow! I did place an electric heater in the greenhouse for those very cold days, but more often than not the daytime temperatures reached the mid 70’s to 80’s (f), while the outside temperature would be in the 30’s to 40’s (f).

This year the herbs have come back bigger now they are well established. The lilies this year are wonderful. I have several varieties which will bloom up into summer. This year I decided to try to grow some vegetables again even though I don’t get enough light for them in most places in the garden. I have planted the vegetables in containers and placed them in the sunniest places. So far so good!

Very great post. I simply stumbled upon your weblog and wanted to mention that I’ve really enjoyed browsing your weblog posts. After all I will be subscribing to your feed and I am hoping you write again very soon!
Would like to know the name of the lily with the very unusual leaves – the red one on the right side of your display. Thanks
Unfortunately I cannot remember off hand the name of the lily. It was in the garden at the other house. However, I believe I have a folder containing many of the plants I purchased during this time. I will need to find said folder and get back with you. I apologise.
