Cut Ruby

The painting is coming along. This past Saturday I managed to paint the entire dining room with one coat of paint, but now I’ll have to wait until next weekend to continue.

No more blue!

First coat finished.

It almost looks as if two coats of paint will do it, but I am not sure. It’s such a deep color it may require three. The paint I am using contains primer and I painted over a grey blue wall so I am hoping for the best. I am looking forward to finishing this project and putting the dining room back together. I think a party will be in order!

In other news, last Friday night’s temperature dropped to freezing so I had to spend the day digging up various plants from the garden and placing them in the greenhouse. I even had to use the electric heater that night. Thankfully it won’t be that cold again for a week or two. I still need to replace the electric heater with a propane heater because it was the electric heater that gave us such a shocking (no pun intended) utility bill.

Somehow I need to squeeze in four more palms!

Everything is dying back. Sigh.

I am looking forward to the day when I have a house with enough land covered in sunlight. The area I have that receives the most sunlight truly isn’t enough for most vegetables. My poor pathetic autumn veggie patch… is so sad.

Depressing vegetables.

It seems this past weekend flew by. I mean, I blinked and today I was back at work. Sigh. I hope everyone had a good weekend!
